2022 Small Business CEO of the Year, Juli Bennett of Back to Basics Learning Dynamics

Juli Bennett, Executive Director of Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, was named The Delaware Business Times 2022 CEO of the Year in the 2nd annual awards program. She will be honored at a July 14 charity golf outing, dinner, and awards presentation at Deerfield Golf Club in Newark.

Juli Bennett, CEO of Back to Basics Learning Dynamics in Wilmington, DE has been named 2022 CEO of the Year by The Delaware Business Times. The award honors the efforts of Delaware’s top-ranking business leaders in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. It recognizes an individual who has demonstrated significant, sustained success leading a business organization in Delaware while making a positive, measurable contribution to the state’s community.

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics of Wilmington, DE is an education and language services company. Bennett took over B2B in 2018 and led it through the pandemic, training hundreds of new tutors to provide online services to serve more than 6,000 students last year. Bennett also started B2B’s “Wish Come True” program for Delaware teachers, which has donated supplies to dozens of state teachers to supply their classrooms with needed materials. Teachers submitted their wishlist on our Facebook page and each week we made wishes come true. We are hoping to inspire other companies in the DE area to join in each August.

Juli leads with her heart and is passionate about reaching marginalized groups of students through a growing list of contracts with School Districts. B2B’s large staff of professional teachers, tutors, translators, interpreters, and other specialists work with deserving students daily to ensure every student improves and knows they are cared for.

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics was also the 2022 Thrive Award Winner for Community Impact through the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Delaware, and was recognized as a Top Workplace for 2020 and 2022. “We’ve become more diverse, inclusive, and more trusted partners to our customers. In so doing, our organization has grown in size, reach and impact. I could not be more proud of our staff and the students who work so hard,” said Bennett.
